AI at Work: How Adopting Generative AI Has Made Us Smarter, More Efficient Marketers

At Responsory, we’ve integrated AI into our workflows to save time, enhance creativity and optimize results. Curious about how AI can do the same for your business? Read on to discover how we use AI prompts to streamline and supercharge marketing.

These days, it seems like everything is integrating AI, from the apps we use to the emails we receive. As generative AI tools have become more advanced and accessible, businesses are finding new ways to harness their potential to streamline operations and boost creativity. At its core, generative AI creates new content—whether it’s text, images or code—by identifying patterns in data. Platforms like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini or Anthropic’s Claude are now woven into everyday workflows, making them invaluable in helping teams work more efficiently.

At Responsory, our tech-savvy and curious nature naturally led us to be early adopters of generative AI platforms, specifically ChatGPT. We’ve integrated these tools across multiple areas of our business, from cutting down on time spent in account management to generating fresh creative ideas. By automating repetitive tasks and rethinking how we approach content, we’ve been able to focus more on what matters most: crafting high-impact marketing strategies for our clients.

Note: While these tools have been a game-changer for us, we always ensure that no sensitive or proprietary information is shared. Investing in enterprise solutions ensures interactions remain private and are not used to train AI models.

With that out of the way, let’s explore how generative AI is helping our team work smarter—and check out some of our favorite prompts while we’re at it.

Streamlining Account Management

Aimee Dierbeck, Director of Web Services

I wear a lot of hats here, and constantly shifting between left- and right-brained tasks can be, quite frankly, exhausting. So, I’m always looking for ways to lighten my mental load, especially when it comes to the little administrative tasks that can quickly pile up.

For this reason alone, AI has been a lifesaver. Whether it’s organizing meeting notes, automating time entry or drafting status reports, our various AI tools have helped me streamline important but time-consuming background tasks. I’m able to dedicate more time and energy to strategic initiatives or technical work rather than getting bogged down in the minutiae of project management. As a bonus, this means less admin time that gets billed to our clients.

Accelerating the Creative Process

Jill Zacher, Senior Account Executive

When writer’s block hits, AI is there to pull me out of my creative funk. It’s like having a tireless teammate who’s always “on” and never runs out of coffee. Using AI isn’t about replacing my creativity; it’s more like having a brainstorming partner ready to help me explore angles I might’ve missed. With my AI pal by my side, I can quickly churn out ideas for everything from subject lines to blog topics.

And that’s just scratching the surface! I also love feeding AI a concept or idea and asking it to poke holes, spot potential issues and suggest improvements. This helps me strengthen and refine my own ideas. It’s great to see how this collaboration can push my work to new heights.

Supercharging Search Engine Optimization

Ivana Skoko, Director of Digital Services

When it comes to SEO, Generative AI has been a fun addition to our digital marketing bag of tricks. We’ve been able to leverage its ability to process large datasets, giving our human efforts a super-speedy boost. And, thanks to AI, we’ve been able to spot insights and optimization opportunities quicker than we would be able to identify manually. It’s helped us craft smarter, more scalable content strategies, identify seed and long-tail keywords, and fine-tune all the on-page essentials like title tags, meta descriptions and headers.

At the same time, we also want to make sure we’re using our AI powers wisely. We understand that churning out a ton of blogs just to have “fresh” content won’t magically catapult anyone to the top of Google’s rankings. In fact, it might even come back to haunt your site in the long run. The real magic happens when you blend AI with a bit of human touch: double-check for accuracy, sprinkle in some emotional connection and make sure you’re still serving up quality, original content that genuinely helps your audience.

    • Include the primary keyword “[insert primary keyword in quotes]” and the secondary keyword(s) “[insert secondary keywords in quotes].”
    • Descriptions should be compelling, highlight key benefits or features, and include a call-to-action (CTA) when appropriate.

Additional Notes:

  • Aim for each title and description to improve click-through rates (CTR) by making them clear and appealing to users.
  • Consider the intent behind the page and align the metadata to attract the right audience.
  • Avoid keyword stuffing; use keywords naturally and maintain readability.

Note: To use this prompt, you’ll need access to third-party SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs or Moz to research and analyze keywords.

Repurposing Existing Content

Ana Cook, Senior Content Strategist

Stagnant content can lead to a drop in engagement and relevance, not to mention it can hurt your search engine performance. By blending AI-generated suggestions with your own voice and brand personality, you can easily breathe new life into existing content and keep it fresh and relevant.

I especially like to use AI to quickly analyze existing content to uncover outdated information and spot areas that are underperforming. It also makes it easy to repurpose content into fresh formats, like turning blog posts into social media snippets or eye-catching infographics. This way, I can extend the reach and impact of our content across multiple platforms without the need to start from scratch.

  • A brief description (2-3 sentences) highlighting the key benefits or features
  • A call to action (e.g., “Learn more,” “Sign up now,” “Join us”)
  • Relevant hashtags (suggest 3-5)

Note: It’s important to double-check the outputs for tone, clarity and accuracy, and adjust as needed for optimal engagement and impact.

AI Can’t Do Your Marketing—But It Can Help You Do It Better

Artificial Intelligence has already revolutionized the way we work—but it’s just the tip of the iceberg. Its role in creating smarter, more meaningful marketing is sure to evolve alongside the technology. Just to keep up, marketers need to get comfortable with using these tools safely, responsibly and well.

But it is possible to have too much of a good thing. Generative AI is just one tool in your toolbelt. Yes, it can streamline processes, boost efficiency and offer creative inspiration, but it can’t replicate the unique insights, imagination and emotional intelligence that humans bring to the table. The true power lies in blending the two—where AI handles the minutiae, allowing your team’s creativity to truly shine.

Ready to dip your toes into AI? Here are some best practices to help you get started:

  • Blend AI with human creativity: AI can assist with ideation and task automation, but human oversight ensures the content remains engaging, accurate and aligned with your brand voice.
  • Prioritize quality over quantity: Avoid relying on AI to churn out excessive content. Instead, focus on using it to create well-researched, valuable material that resonates with your audience.
  • Use AI ethically: Be mindful of privacy, data security and any potential biases AI might introduce. Always review and edit AI-generated content for fairness and clarity.
  • Test and refine AI outputs: We’ve shared some of our favorite AI prompts in this post—continuously evaluate the performance of AI-generated content and adjust your prompts to achieve the most effective results.

If you’re looking to explore how AI can simplify your life while ensuring you retain that creative spark, we’re here to help. Reach out to Responsory for more tips and best practices to integrate AI effectively and securely, helping you work smarter—not harder—without losing the human touch that makes your brand unique.
